Communication with parents is vitally important. Parents cannot have an effective voice in school
matters when they do not know what the curriculum consists of nor the policies that are being set. Many parents who are busy making a living and raising their children simply do not have the time or energy to wade through lengthy documents or sit through school board meetings. As a parent and a grandparent, I fully understand that. I am interested in hearing from parents and I aim to bridge the communication gap to keep parents updated on developments that affect their children. Your concerns are my concerns. |
In recent days, political activists are pushing harmful ideas to children such as Critical Race Theory
and transgenderism. I will do everything possible to block the politicizing of children. Instead, I believe that schools should be the place where children receive a solid academic foundation that prepares them to pursue whatever career they please. It is my goal to retain and attract good teachers and staff who should not feel they have to flee the county or even give up teaching because of policies that violate their values and rights. |
I believe that children should be introduced to career education earlier and more frequently so that by the time they finish high school, they have a clearer idea as to what career path would
suit them best. Children should know the many career paths available, the education required, the nature of the job, and the income they can expect to make. |
